In case you hadn’t heard... Tina Nelson, First Lutheran’s extraordinary Youth Director, has accepted a call to serve as Program Director at Sugar Creek Bible Camp. The whole process began while Tina was discerning her vocation. Outdoor ministries is where her passion and aptitude meet the needs of Christ’s church. Although we are sincerely happy for her and excited for an even closer connection to our camp, our youth and their families will miss her faithful leadership. Tina will remain with us through the mission trip season, though. We will say farewell and Godspeed at worship on July 16. Save the date!
Come join in an adventure to Egypt and travel along with Joseph. While VBS is meant for the younger youth, middle and high schoolers are invited to join the adventure and help lead! Help out and contact Becky Runde or Tina Nelson, and they will find the perfect spot for you!

Youth selling pies should pick up an order form from Tina, or stop in the office, and return the order form to Tina by Wednesday, December 16. This fundraiser is available for any youth raising funds for Sugar Creek Bible Camp and/or summer mission trips.
Hi everyone! My name is Tina Nelson and I just recently got hired as the new Director of Discipleship of Youth. I am from Rapid City, South Dakota and graduated from the University of South Dakota this past May. I have been working in camping ministry for over 9 years now. I started in Custer, SD at a Lutheran camp called Outlaw Ranch, and after five years decided to change to Sugar Creek Bible Camp in Ferryville, WI for a new challenge. I have had so many amazing experiences over the past four years there as a High School Village Leader. I am so very passionate about working with young adults and helping them to learn their own unique gifts and callings. I love the outdoors and connecting with God through adventures with youth in His creation. This job is such a blessing to me and I can’t wait to get to know all of you and share my passions!
Confirmation students are offering a free car wash TODAY from 5–8pm, in the First Lutheran parking lot!
