Young Youth Update for August 2015

This is what the Lord God showed me—a basket of summer fruit.
— Amos 8:1

I hope all of you have been enjoying the beautiful summer that God has provided for us. There are so many things to be thankful for that we must not forget to talk to God and let him know that we appreciate everything He blesses us with. Even the sad moments are a blessing because without rain things cannot grow.

Thank you to the families that were able to make it to Noah’s Ark. We all had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect (not quite as cold as last year). There were lots of smiles and slides ridden. If you weren’t able to make it this year hopefully you can next year.

Thank you also to the families who allowed us to borrow their children for the day so that we could travel down to Sugar Creek. We had a great turn out so that was wonderful. This is the kids first opportunity to get familiar with the camp before they’re big enough to come stay overnight without mom and dad. The counselors did a great job and the kids had a blast. They prayed, rode horse, swam, made art projects, etc. It was a full day, but a fun day.

Our next event will take place in September. Keep your eyes and ears open so that you don’t miss out on an amazing opportunity to hang out with other Christ centered kids while having fun and helping others!

Thanks so much!
