Our night out will begin with a beautiful drive along the Root River as we travel to Lanesboro. We will be attending another fantastic play at the Commonweal Theatre. The play will be Lone Star Spirits, a small-town comedy with hairpin turns that takes a hilarious and sympathetic look at family, spirituality, those who stay and those who leave their hometowns. The Commonweal has always come through for us with a fabulous production. This enjoyable expedition will leave the church at 4pm on Thursday, Aug. 28. You can sign-up by contacting Brian Narveson at 630-816-5917 or owls@firstlu.org. Cost of the theater ticket is $40, and dinner is on your own. Money will be collected the night of the outing. Brian will buy tickets as people sign up. To make sure you get a ticket, please notify him by Tuesday night, Aug. 26, to join this magical evening.
The OWLs are a group at First that welcomes anyone, First Lutheran members or not, who are 55+.
