The OWLs’ outing on Friday, May 22 will be to the La Crosse Area Heritage Center. The La Crosse Area Heritage Center is a modern, story‑driven museum that highlights the region’s early settlement, river commerce, logging, brewing, and local industry. It’s designed as an accessible, self‑guided experience with hands‑on activities and thoughtful interpretation that connects La Crosse’s past to the present. Cost of entry is only $4. We will meet at the church at 11am. We will have brunch at the new Hollandberry Pannekoeken restaurant in La Crosse followed by a leisurely stroll discovering the delights of the Heritage Center. If you are interested in joining this local adventure, email owls@firstlu.org.
The OWLs (Older Wiser Lutherans) are a group at First that welcomes anyone, First Lutheran members or not, who are 55+. For information or to ask questions, contact Brian Narveson at owls@firstlu.org.
