October will begin with what promises to be a beautiful drive down the Mississippi to Sugar Creek Bible Camp to attend Yesterday’s Youth. Sugar Creek has a fascinating program lined up for us. Historian Dick Campbell will do two presentations. The first is “Building the Erie Canal,” followed by “The Klondike Gold Rush.” We have heard Dick speak before, and he does a wonderful job making history come alive with stories and slides. After a delicious lunch, we will be entertained by the “High-Lo-Men” Barbershop Quartet and the “Just for Fun” Men’s Quartet. This promises to be a program not to be missed. The date of this event is Monday, October 2. We will leave the church promptly at 8 AM and return by 3pm. Please notify Brian Narveson by Sunday night, October 1, if you plan to attend (firstname.lastname@example.org or 608-526-9700). Cost is $10.
The OWLs are a group at First that welcomes anyone, First Lutheran members or not, who are 55+. For information or to ask questions, contact Brian Narveson.
