Young Youth Events Director

It is both my personal and professional passion to create safe and engaging spaces where children feel comfortable explore, question, and create their unique selves and communities. I am delighted to support First Lu Young Youth as they find God in everyday activities while nourishing their souls with fun and laughter as we play and learn together each month.

Katie helps First by coordinating our Young Youth ministry. Young Youth involves our 2nd graders through 5th graders in church wide events and fun activities outside of the church as well.

Degrees: B.S. in Middle Childhood - Early Adolescent Education, minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. M.Ed. Reading Teacher, all from University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.
Also employed at: North Woods International School.
Fun fact: I hiked to the top of Mt. Fuji.
