“You are witnesses of these things.” Jesus says to the disciples. To be witnesses we need to be present in the moment, seeing, touching, hearing, smelling and tasting what is around us. As we make our way toward Pentecost, you are invited to practice the 54321 exercise and then take a picture or two of something you have seen, touched, heard, smelled or tasted of the color for that week.
The 54321 exercise:
Take a few long, deep breaths to ground yourself.
Name 5 things you see around you.
Name 4 things you can touch.
Name 3 things you can hear.
Name 2 things you can smell.
Name 1 thing you can taste.
Afterwards take one or two pictures of something WHITE that you notice around you. Email the photo(s) to karyn@firstlu.org. We will gather these photos and create a collage that will remind us throughout the summer to celebrate the embodied resurrection with our whole selves.
